Here is some information highlighting the benefits of practicing Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.

Mindfulness is learning to become more aware of what is going on for you, both internally and externally, without judgement, in the present moment, using all of your senses. This increased awareness can provide you with the opportunity to pause and then respond to experiences rather that reacting. Many health benefits both physical and psychological have been reported as a result of having an ongoing practice of mindfulness as well as a general improvement in well-being. Our relationship, both with ourselves and others can also become more easeful.
